The Meta Data Repository (MDR) was created to help in the documentation of databases -- especially in the clinical and medical domain.
The MDR allows for the documentation of schemas, tables, columns and the content within the columns. The MDR is also dynamic and can refresh itself directly off the database -- providing new statistics as to the content.
